POLÍCIA CIVIL DO RIO CONFIRMA 117 MORTOS EM MEGAOPERAÇÃO CONTRA O TRÁFICO
O secretário da Polícia Civil do Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Curi, afirmou nesta sexta-feira (31) que 117 suspeitos foram mortos durante a megaoperação realizada nos complexos do Alemão e da Penha, na última terça-feira (28). Segundo ele, 99 dos mortos já foram identificados, sendo 42 com mandados de prisão e 78 com histórico criminal.
A operação, considerada a mais letal da história do país, teve como objetivo conter a expansão territorial do Comando Vermelho. Curi classificou os alvos como “narcoterroristas neutralizados”. Além dos mortos, 113 pessoas foram presas, entre elas 10 adolescentes infratores e 33 de outros estados. O balanço inclui ainda quatro policiais mortos.
O caso reacende o debate sobre o uso da força policial e os limites da atuação em áreas de conflito. Organizações de direitos humanos pedem investigação independente, enquanto o governo estadual defende a ação como “necessária” para restabelecer a segurança. A operação “Contenção” mobilizou centenas de agentes e equipamentos táticos.
